DEBIT CARD

Debit cards and ATM cards are special cards provided by the Bank to the account holder that can be used to electronically transact on the account. At the time the card is used in transaction, will directly reduce the funds available in the account. When used for transactions at ATM machines, then the card is known as an ATM card.

But when used for payment transactions and non-cash expenditure by using EDC (Electronic Data Capture), then the card is known as a debit card.

Each cardholder is given pribdi number (PIN) that is confidential for security and authorization transaction.

COST
Generally, banks will charge a fee for use of the card include a monthly administration fee and transaction costs in particular transactions using other networks. THINGS TO NOTE
If the card is lost or damaged, immediately report to the issuing bank call center
Make sure the card is always under supervision, because it's the same with personal wallet or cash

Make sure the card is not transferable / loaned to another person

I am an owner of ATM card and love its simplicity and flexibility and liquidity for money withdrawal but never want to indulge with the use of Debit cards.

At first I didn't knew about the logo on these cards that what is the purpose to make this on it but now aware of it.
